Plane was a Halifax HX242 which took off from RAF Leconfield to bomb the railway yards at Trappes, France. HX242 failed to return. Flt Sgt Oshlack was the Mid Upper Gunner. Joe Oshlack's brother RAAF Lac Charles Bernard Oshlack 56853 died of illness at Heidelberg on the 14th November 1943.
