Operation Scholven-Buer Reason for Loss Thought to have been shot down by flak & crashed at Zwillbrock on Dutch/German border. Plane was a Lancaster LL971 of the 467 Squadron with a crew of 7 lost over Germany. At the time that John was reported missing Flt/Sgt Stewart's father, Lt Galloway Stewart, was a POW taken at the fall of Singapore and his brother James was a pilot in training.
