Rita Annie Harris had continuous War Time Service from August 1942 to December 1944 as a WAAAF. [Women's Auxiliary Australian Airforce]. She was part of the DMT section, Driver Motor Transport where she drove trucks and Officer Staff Transport. Rita met and married Morse Code Instructor Flight Sergeant Ernie Albertson at 1 WAGS. Rita was discharged from the Airforce on compassionate grounds in 1944 the year she married.
